Alvaria Employee Spotlight:
The Baula Brothers
Meet our latest Spotlight Team Players!

Celebrating Excellence and Growth at Alvaria
Lean and Carl Baula are more than just colleagues at Alvaria-they’re brothers. Having joined Alvaria (formerly Noble Systems) a few years apart, they’ve each carved out unique paths in the organization while maintaining a shared enthusiasm for continual learning, problem-solving, and team collaboration.
Lean joined the Noble side of the business in 2013 as a Tier 1 agent, quickly proving himself through hard work, openness to new responsibilities, and a willingness to ask questions. Over time, he became a Senior Platform Engineer and is on track to become a team lead. In his words, the most inspiring moments at Alvaria come from “resolving major outages and making customers happy,” a process that keeps him motivated and constantly learning. Lean’s commitment to upskilling outside of work-experimenting with tools and technologies in his home lab-has enhanced the company’s efforts in PCI compliance and other critical projects.

Carl’s journey began in 2015, after a background in mechanical engineering. Despite having no prior contact center experience, he found the role “just clicked.” Carl started out front-facing with clients, then shifted to deeper technical work, including server builds, configuration, and writing automation scripts that have streamlined health checks and site surveys. He credits the “management believing in me” for motivating him when he was first waitlisted for the job. Today, Carl champions continuous growth-urging newcomers to embrace the challenges and variety of technologies Alvaria offers.
Though each brother follows his own path, both emphasize the culture of teamwork that keeps them here. Whether it’s Lean’s excitement over a complex outage that gets resolved together or Carl’s appreciation for the “freedom to explore different areas of technology,” they share a belief that Alvaria provides an ever-evolving, rewarding environment. Both proudly mention mentors who’ve guided them, such as John Blackwell for Lean and supportive managers for Carl, and they’re quick to acknowledge the entire team’s role in every major achievement.
Outside of work, Lean stays energized by biking, hiking, and spending time with his two young sons. Carl’s passion revolves around music-he plays lead guitar in a rock band with both covers and original tracks. Lean’s go-to pump-up track is “Lose Yourself” by Eminem, while Carl hits play on “Highway Star” by Deep Purple whenever he wants to get fired up. They may differ in certain hobbies, but they’re united by a shared spirit of exploration, a love of solving problems, and a commitment to lifting up the people around them.
At Alvaria, we celebrate team members who exemplify curiosity, tenacity, and a passion for innovation. Lean and Carl Baula embody all these traits-bringing fresh ideas, a dedication to team success, and a supportive approach to everyone around them. Thank you, Lean and Carl, for showing us how a shared love of solving problems and embracing new challenges can drive both individual and company-wide growth!
